Murphy

Murphy is enjoying the extra attention from being the only "hond," and has taken over Reggie's alpha role. Reggie would stalk the dinner table while Murphy would stay away. Now Murphy is prowling. She eats rawhides, something she hasn't done for years, because Reggie would bully them from her. She's twelve years old and the role she's had for her entire life has completely changed. While she has Addison's disease, it doesn't seem as though she's suffering. She's still neurotic, but she's letting us sleep in more these days. She has leg problems, which often prevent her from getting up from a laying position. Murphy enjoys being vacuumed...which is unusual (if not comical), considering how skittish she is. She loves the woman who watches her while we're traveling because of the undivided attention and, probably, the peace and quiet.
